Ms. Anderson Richard is a licensed attorney as well as a registered lobbyist in the State of Illinois. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society from Oberlin College.
Prior to opening her own consulting firm in 2018, Ms. Anderson Richard practiced law at a full-service defense firm. As an attorney, she practiced in several different areas of law and relies on her legal experience to help clients navigate the intricacies of the bill drafting process and subsequent legislative negotiations.

As the President of Anderson Richard Consulting, LLC Ms. Anderson Richard provides her clients with legislative, regulatory and political consulting services at the State and Federal level. As a legislative consultant, Ms. Anderson Richard has extensive experience working with General Assembly members, Constitutional Officers, and State Agencies on various complex legislative issues; including, but not limited to, renewable energy, gaming, pension reform, K-12 education, healthcare, FinTech and other technological industries, as well as child welfare advocacy and juvenile justice reform.

Ms. Anderson Richard is a founding member of the People for Women's Empowerment Political Action Committee (PAC) ('The Women's PAC') and is a member of both the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Ms. Anderson Richard previously served as the Vice-President of the Central Illinois Women's Bar Association.
